The legendary Nepali mountaineer Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja, along with nine other mountaineers, met with their death due to an avalanche at 8,051 meters high Mount Broad Peak in Pakistan. Nirmal Purja is a retired special forces soldier who shot into fame through a unique accomplishment of reaching all 14 highest mountains on Earth within a period of just six months and who has been featured in the Netflix movie, 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible. Warnings have come in thick and fast from world dignitaries such as the Prime Minister of Nepal and Defence Minister of the United Kingdom.
